Theodor I. Kaufman, MD

Dr. Theodor I. Kaufman is associate professor of clinical surgery at University of Rochester Medicine. Division chief for regional surgery, he works collaboratively with surgeons at Jones Memorial, St. James, Noyes Memorial, and FF Thompson hospitals. Dr. Kaufman is passionate about rural health care and has focused his career on advancing rural medicine and ensuring patients have access to high-quality surgical and post-surgical recovery care close to home. He is faculty leader for the Postoperative Pain Management in Rural Communities project.
