Melissa Heatly, PhD
Dr. Melissa Heatly is a clinical child psychologist and academic faculty member at the University of Rochester Medical Center. She is co-director of UR-Supporting Our Students, a technical assistance center supporting expanded school mental health initiatives in the Finger Lakes region of New York. She leads regional and statewide initiatives that strengthen systems of care for children, adolescents, and families by integrating substance use prevention, early intervention, and behavioral health services across schools, health care, and community settings. As a faculty leader on the Growing Resilience project, Dr. Heatly’s work emphasizes workforce development, cross-system collaboration, and equitable access to evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused practices in rural communities.
