Laura Perrone, PhD
Dr. Laura Perrone is a clinical child and adolescent psychologist and academic faculty member in the University of Rochester Medical Center Department of Psychiatry. Her work focuses on increasing access to mental health services and supports in settings families naturally access, especially among underserved communities. Initiatives currently include expanding Connecting for Kids—an effective model for cross-sector collaboration to support youth well-being—to rural counties in New York’s Finger Lakes region and other communities. On the Growing Resilience project, Dr. Perrone focuses on integrating community voice and research evidence to promote community-driven, trauma-informed, effective interventions for youth substance use prevention. She is passionate about working with the whole family to promote resilience, mental health, and well-being.
