Julie Achtyl, MS, LMHC-D, CASAC-M, NCC, ACS

Julie Achtyl is the psych therapist chief at the University of Rochester Department of Psychiatry. Achtyl has primary oversight of the mental health counselor, marriage and family therapist, creative arts therapist, peer advocate, credentialed alcohol and substance abuse counselor, rehabilitation therapist, recreational therapist, employee assistance program counselor, and clinical evaluator disciplines. A New York State-certified trainer in Clinical Supervision Foundations II, Achtyl has trained hundreds of supervisors across the state. She blends her passion for counseling, clinical supervision, leadership, and teaching through training professionals and mentoring clinical staff and students.
