Caroline Easton, PhD

Dr. Caroline Easton is the academic division chief in addiction psychiatry, a professor of psychiatry, and director of digital therapeutics at University of Rochester Medicine. She is a co-principal investigator for the HRSA RCORP-Rural Center of Excellence on SUD Prevention. Dr. Easton is also PI and Co-PI on the following grants:  HRSA training grants, New York State court grants, the Department of Defense, and National Institute of Drug Abuse. She is the inventor of RITch®CBT: a customizable, digital avatar-assisted cognitive behavioral intervention platform. She works closely with NIH and the FDA on the implementation of RITch®CBT to improve SUD treatment outcomes via digital treatments and wearable technology. RITch is also being used to prevent and treat vaping among youth and their families in the rural U.S.
